Criminal Defense has always been a large part of what I do, which means that I frequently get the question, "But how do you defend someone that you know did it?"
Duly noted. Criminal defense is about making sure the State can prove it's burden, that the State can't just come in and take away civil rights by pointing a finger. My job as a criminal defense attorney is to make sure that the State has indeed done it's job and gathered and proven all of its evidence before a conviction is won.
That said, not everyone accused of a crime "did it." Without the whole story, it's impossible to determine guilt or innocence. Every criminal case is like a story, and allegations aren't necessarily the whole truth of it. The prosecution is one side of that story; my representation of my clients is the other.
We emphasize the need to take a practical approach to solving our clients' issues. No matter the scope or severity of your case, we'll work to give you great respect and discretion. We'll do our best to defend you against the charges you're facing and undermine the prosecution's evidence wherever possible. Even if we can't prevent a conviction entirely, our attorney will strove to mitigate the severity of whatever sentence is imposed.
